Together, We Are Changing the Landscape of Giving in Volusia County

August 12, 2025

Every quarter, something extraordinary happens in our community. Women from all walks of life — different backgrounds, careers, and experiences — come together with one shared goal: to make a difference.

That’s the heart of Volusia County Women Who Care (VCWWC).

Since our first meeting in 2017, our members have collectively given over $600,000 to nonprofits making a measurable impact in Volusia County. These are organizations on the front lines — feeding families, providing shelter, supporting victims of domestic violence, caring for our seniors, protecting our environment, empowering youth, and so much more.

The magic of VCWWC is in the power of “we.” Individually, $100 is a generous gift. But when combined with the contributions of hundreds of like-minded women, it becomes transformational. Together, we don’t just fund programs — we help nonprofits dream bigger, serve more people, and strengthen their ability to make lasting change.

Celebrating What We’ve Built — and What’s to Come

This Thursday, we gather again for our 3rd Quarter Meeting at Daytona State College’s Mori Hosseini Center — registration and networking at 5:00 PM, meeting at 6:00 PM. We’ll hear from local nonprofits doing inspiring work, and together, we’ll decide which will receive our collective donation this quarter.

These meetings are more than a vote. They are a reminder of what’s possible when women unite around a cause. They are a spark of inspiration, a chance to connect, and an opportunity to see firsthand the impact of our giving.

The Opportunity Ahead

Our work is far from over — and that’s the exciting part. The needs in our community are real, and the opportunity to meet them is within our reach. Every new member who joins expands our circle of generosity. Every quarterly meeting is a chance to multiply our impact.

Whether you’re a founding member or just joined this week, you are part of something bigger than yourself. Together, we are not only changing lives today but also building a legacy of compassion and action for tomorrow.

On Thursday, let’s celebrate what we’ve accomplished, be inspired by the stories we’ll hear, and commit to growing our reach even further. Because when women who care come together, there is no limit to the good we can do.

We can’t wait to see you there.
