The Power of Partnerships

September 12, 2025

At Volusia County Women Who Care (VCWWC), our members and sustaining members are the heart, soul, and fuel of our impact. Your generosity drives everything we do, and together we are moving the needle for nonprofits across Volusia County.

But beyond our members, we also know the strength of our mission is multiplied by the power of partnerships. These partners—individuals, businesses, and foundations—help us stretch our dollars further, raise awareness, and create ripple effects of change.

Transformational Matching Partners

We are honored to partner with the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, which matches 50% of the first $10,000 we raise each quarter. That results in an additional $5,000 gift to each quarterly primary recipient—a total of $128,650 to date.

We also celebrate Larry and Andrea Frank. Andrea was not only the very first VCWWC member, but together the Franks match every new member’s gift 100%. To date, that has added an incredible $28,300 to our giving.

Supporting All Presenting Nonprofits

Our Community Impact Partner Fund ensures that the two presenting organizations not chosen by member vote each quarter still receive sustaining support. Thanks to the generosity of many individuals, Walmart and Sam’s Club Spark Good program—which has donated $14,000 to the fund—along with Sensible Water, Jeep Beach, and the Kiwanis Club, this fund has provided vital grants to these worthy charities.

Partnership with Grapevine

We are proud to have grown alongside Grapevine, our giving platform and member communications hub. Grapevine makes it simple for our members to contribute through credit or debit card, set up automatic giving, and stay connected through announcements and event updates. As VCWWC has expanded, Grapevine has continued to evolve and support us, helping streamline our processes and strengthen our collective giving.

Building Our Legacy

We are especially grateful to those who contributed to launching the VCWWC Endowment Fund, a new initiative to begin building our legacy and ensure long-term sustainability for generations to come.

Business & Media Partnerships

We are grateful for partnerships that fuel our operations and expand our reach, including:

  • Daytona Toyota and DeLand Kia – sponsors of our 2025 quarterly meetings.
  • Kandi Schromm, RE/MAX – sponsoring the videos that feature the organizations we fund.
  • Meghaphone Marketing – producing our quarterly videos and helping us share our impact stories.
  • Daytona State College – generously providing meeting space and support for our gatherings.
  • Boss Lady – annually contributing to VCWWC.

In-Kind and Community Support

We are deeply appreciative of countless in-kind contributions that bring value to our work, including:

  • Kenneth Grant Inzspirations Photography – providing professional portraits for the VCWWC Board.
  • Lunar Studios Photography – capturing moments at our quarterly meetings.
  • Sign Dreamers – creating balloon displays at each quarterly meeting.
  • Carol Kilian Design – offering creative design support.
  • The Daytona Symphony – donating season tickets for an annual member drawing.
  • Compusys – providing professional tech support for our quarterly meetings year after year.
  • Local IQ / The Daytona News-Journal – donating more than $15,000 in free advertising each year to promote VCWWC and highlight the organizations we fund.
  • Shellye Vallance, owner of WAPN 91.5 FM – donating airtime each quarter to interview our three presenting nonprofits, giving them a powerful platform to share their stories.

And so many more.

Deep Gratitude

Since our founding, VCWWC has contributed over $681,789 to local charities, and we have grown to an inspiring 396 members. I am confident that in 2026 we will surpass $1 million in collective giving and grow to over 500 members.

To every partner, sponsor, and supporter—thank you. Your contributions, whether in funds, services, or time, make it possible for VCWWC to not only give generously, but to amplify the voices and stories of nonprofits serving Volusia County. Together, we are building a stronger community and proving the true power of partnerships.
