Today, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) celebrated #National Philanthropy Day by recognizing twelve outstanding local philanthropists who have made a meaningful impact in our community. I am truly honored to be nominated by Daytona State College and be among those recognized, alongside incredible individuals such as Larry and Andrea Frank, nominated by United Way of Volusia-Flagler and Zayna Gibson, nominated by Museum of Arts & Science, both of whom are longtime members of Volusia County Women Who Care (VCWWC).
This recognition is not mine alone—I share it with the members of VCWWC, our community partners, and everyone who believes in the power of giving back. Together, we are part of a larger movement, one that uplifts, empowers, and brings hope to so many.
Philanthropy is a shared journey. It thrives when people come together, united by a common goal to make the world a better place for everyone. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this journey and for the collective efforts of so many who make this work possible.
As we celebrate National Philanthropy Day, let’s continue to be inspired by the power of generosity and the transformative change it can bring to our communities. Together, we are creating a brighter future.
