VCWWC: Growing With You on Your Philanthropic Journey
When I was a child, I was taught in Sunday School to tithe. In those days, that meant ten cents from my weekly one-dollar allowance. As I moved into my preteen and teenage years, my tithing grew as babysitting brought in a few extra dollars—and my early “fundraising career” took shape through selling Girl Scout cookies.
As a young mother, the idea of making a regular charitable contribution felt impossible. I could barely feed my kids and pay the rent. But over time, I discovered the power of volunteering and giving through workplace campaigns. And as my career grew, so did my ability—and desire—to give back.
Fast forward to today, and I have had the tremendous honor of helping to found Volusia County Women Who Care (VCWWC). One of the things I cherish most about VCWWC is that it truly meets you where you are on your philanthropic journey.
VCWWC Welcomes You at Every Stage of Life and Giving
Students and Young Adults
Our interns and young professionals contribute time, energy, and fresh ideas—gaining valuable experience while learning what community impact looks like in action.
Busy Professionals and Moms
Many members appreciate the ability to participate virtually, cast their vote, and know that their $100 contribution is making a meaningful difference—no matter how busy life gets.
Members Who Attend In Person
Some enjoy nominating a charity for the chance to present a nonprofit they care deeply about. Others prefer simply to observe, learn, and be part of the collective action without the pressure of presenting.
Both paths are welcomed. Both paths matter. Many find joy simply in being present, soaking in the inspiration and community
Members Who Want to Do Even More
Some choose to deepen their involvement as Community Impact Partners, Sustaining Members, Giving to our Endowment or becoming a Sponsors.
Others build personal connections with nonprofits we support—volunteering time, offering expertise, or helping expand resources where they are most needed.
Wherever You Are, VCWWC Welcomes You
Wherever you find yourself—personally, professionally, financially, or spiritually—you belong at VCWWC.
Your presence matters.
