Dear Volusia County Women Who Care Members and Community Partners,
As 2025 draws to a close, we pause with full hearts and deep gratitude — because what you made possible this year is nothing short of extraordinary.
In 2025 alone, VCWWC members collectively granted more than $150,000 to twelve nonprofit organizations serving Volusia County — and, through the extraordinary generosity of our Five Founding Pillars, established the VCWWC Endowment to ensure the long-term sustainability of our mission for generations to come. We look forward to growing this legacy throughout 2026 and beyond.
In addition, our sponsors and in-kind donors provided critical support that allowed us to expand outreach, strengthen partnerships, and extend our impact even further across the community.
Twelve missions strengthened.
Thousands of lives touched.
And countless futures changed — because of you.
Across our community, your generosity became hope in action.
Our funded partners shared:
At Sophie’s Circle
“When our organization was struggling to keep up with surrendered animals, VCWWC helped when help was needed most. I will be forever grateful.”
At Presbyterian Counseling Center, your support expanded counseling services — opening doors to healing, hope, and emotional wellness for individuals and families who may otherwise have gone without care.
At Volusia Free Clinic, your grants sparked a chain of generosity — leading to new office space, new equipment, additional staff, and expanded access to compassionate care for uninsured adults.
And for 1 Ohana 1 Community Inc., 2025 became a turning point — enabling the organization to serve more families than ever before and provide Christmas to foster children and at-risk families for the very first time.
In addition, your generosity through the Community Partner Impact Fund (CPIF) ensured that every nonprofit presenting benefited — extending your reach even further.
Through your generosity, Senders Retreat Foundation was able to provide full-time adult day care to a 97-year-old gentleman, Pedro — restoring dignity, safety, and stability to his family while giving his wife Consuelo peace of mind as she continued working.
“Families like Pedro and Consuelo’s are at the heart of our mission. Your support makes that possible.”
At Habitat for Humanity, your funding empowered a young volunteer to build six desks for children moving into new homes — giving them a place to study, grow, and dream.
In 2025, CPIF grants also made meaningful differences for:
- The Hub on Canal
- Imagination Library
- Halifax Repertory Theatre
- HUM (Humanitarian Universal Ministries)
- and many others — sustaining critical programs, arts, education, and outreach services throughout Volusia County.
These are not just grants.
They are lifelines.
They are hope.
They are dignity.
They are futures rewritten.
This is the power of collective giving.
This is the legacy you are building.
This is what it looks like when women come together to change a community.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for believing, for giving, and for standing in the gap where help is needed most.
May you enter the new year knowing that your generosity has created ripples of compassion that will be felt for generations to come.
With deepest gratitude,
Teresa Smith
