On February 19, 2026, Volusia County Women Who Care marked an important milestone in our journey together — the official launch of the VCWWC Endowment Fund.
Since our founding in 2017, VCWWC has been built on a simple but powerful idea: when people come together and give collectively, real change happens. Through the generosity of our members, we have supported dozens of local nonprofits and invested hundreds of thousands of dollars back into our community.
The Endowment Fund is the next step in that story.
Why an Endowment Matters
While our quarterly giving continues to be the heart of VCWWC, the Endowment ensures that our impact can grow and endure well into the future. Endowment gifts are invested to generate long-term income that helps support the stability, infrastructure, and growth of our organization — allowing us to continue serving our community regardless of changes in leadership, membership, or the economy.
Building the Endowment now allows VCWWC to grow from a position of strength and ensures our mission continues to thrive for generations.
An Evening of Celebration and Gratitude
We celebrated the launch of the Endowment at a special Black & Gold event surrounded by members, friends, community partners, and supporters who have helped shape VCWWC’s journey.
A highlight of the evening was recognizing the Five Founding Pillars whose leadership gifts made it possible to establish the Endowment:
- Tina Buck
- Jan & Don Dounda
- Andrea & Larry Frank
- Irene & George Harrington
- Teresa & Mark Smith
Their vision and generosity created the foundation upon which this next chapter of VCWWC will grow.
The evening was filled with music, connection, and a shared sense that we were witnessing something meaningful — not just for today, but for the future of collective giving in our community.
An Open Circle
While the Founding Pillars took the first step, the Endowment is not a closed circle. It is an invitation.
Members and friends who believe in the long-term future of VCWWC will have opportunities in the coming months and years to learn more, participate, and help build this legacy together.
Looking Ahead
The Endowment represents more than a financial tool. It is a commitment to stewardship, sustainability, and the belief that the work we do together matters — not just now, but long into the future.
To everyone who has helped VCWWC grow over the years, thank you. Your generosity, energy, and belief in collective giving are what made this moment possible.
Together, we are making a difference today — and building a legacy for tomorrow.
I.
