In the wake of the hurricane, it’s understandable to feel a mix of emotions. Whether you’re breathing a sigh of relief because your home came through unscathed or grappling with the daunting task of repairs, these moments can leave us feeling unsettled. Some of us may even feel what’s known as “survivor’s guilt,” grateful for our safety but eager to do more for those still struggling.
If you’re seeking a way to help and make a meaningful impact, we have a special opportunity to volunteer and assist those in need. We invite you to join us in distributing food to families affected by the hurricane. It’s a simple yet powerful way to offer relief and hope to our community members facing tough times.
Daytona Dream Center is organizing a free hurricane relief food distribution, with supplies expected to include hurricane relief items along with food provided by Second Harvest. Their mission is to serve hundreds of people, many of whom have lost so much.
If you’re able to lend a hand, we would love to have you join us. The call time is 10:00 AM on Saturday, 10/19, at Calvary Christian Center (1687 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach).
Your willingness to volunteer could bring comfort and support to someone rebuilding their life after the storm.
Thank you for your ongoing care and dedication to our community. Together, we can truly make a difference.
Warm regards,
Teresa
