Have you ever witnessed something so powerful that it left you completely speechless and humbled?
I don’t often find myself at a loss for words, but today, listening to Shellye interview the 2024 recipients of Volusia County Women Who Care funds left me truly overwhelmed. Hearing how these incredible organizations used the funds to support their diverse and impactful work in our community—and how deeply grateful they are—was nothing short of inspiring. Listen to the live interview on facebook ! Interviewed was with Charlene’s Dream, Nathalie Sweeney, Cultuvue, Latoya Carey, Visitation House, Erin Kappiris, Mr. & Ms. Mentoring Kenya Griffin, Ormond Memorial Museum and Gardens, Stephanie Mason-Teague, SMA Healthdare Foundation, Monique Evelyn
Shellye’s passion radiated as she encouraged each representative to share their stories, explaining how they initially planned to use the funds and how they ultimately made a difference. Each story was heartfelt, bringing tears of joy and gratitude.
I can hardly express how deeply it moved me to hear these stories and realize that I, along with more than 300 VCWWC members, played a role in making this possible. Our collective effort is transforming lives in ways we may never fully understand or witness firsthand.
Thank you to every one of our dedicated members. Thank you to the service providers who do this hard, inspiring work every day. I look forward to hearing the stories of 2025, knowing that VCWWC will continue to grow our impact in the year ahead.
